WHERE CAN I DRIVE?

In Port Aransas, Golf Carts are considered and permitted as street-legal vehicles meaning they can drive on roadways with automobile traffic.
Golf Carts are permitted in all of the following places:
- Port Aransas' Beach & Beach Road
- In Town/Anywhere the speed limit is 35mph or less
- DRIVING IS NOT PERMITTED ON TX HWY 361 (SOUTH OF ALISTER STREET) OR ON ITS BORDERING SIDEWALKS.

WHO CAN DRIVE?

Anyone with a Valid Drivers License
- While your licensed teen can drive, we stress the importance of SAFE driving.

REQUIREMENTS FOR RENTING:

"I WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TOLD ME."

The JOY fleet is already permitted to drive and park on the Port Aransas Public Beach.
HWY 361 can be crossed ONLY at 4 way intersections and stop lights. In-office maps are available as a visual aid.
Paradise Pointe, Pirates Bay & Hampton Inn do not have direct golf cart access. Carts must remain on the East/Beach side of HWY-361 - we have a parking lot to service those staying in the above locations.
Properties beachside and South of Beach Access Road 1A can only be accessed beachside via golf cart accessible boardwalks. Our parking lot can service those staying in such areas as well.
